The Society organise training for Sunday School teachers with the aim to help those starting for the first time, to provide training on specific topics or to encourage those who feel they need a refresher course.

Training events are held in the Resource Centre and in different parish churches as requested. In the past parishes that training sessions have been held include Killorglin, Co. Kerry; Julianstown, Co. Meath; Cloughjordan, Co. Limerick; Killeshandra, Co. Cavan; Castlemacadam, Co. Wicklow.

Last year we held a joint training evening with the Methodist Children’s officer Judith Rainey and this October we held a joint training evening with the Presbyterian Children’s Officer, Barbara McDade.

The Society is also involved in the national Children’s Ministry Conferences ‘Building Blocks’.
