Stop & Stare - A reflective Lent course

Stop and Stare is not a study course but rather a tool for reflection.  In each weekly sesion, after an opening prayer,8086abd9-4624-4e26-a0c4-34207bdfcdd8.jpg introduction, readings and points for discussion, there is a mixture of poems, prayers, proverbs and other material - and, equally important, periods of silence - all designed to stimulate quiet contemplation.

Everyone in church is in touch with other people, through extended family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, classmates9f12524b-9d6a-4bb5-a1a8-cac890cd9c21.jpg and so on.  This book enables you to use your existing groups to think through some of the important life questions in a relaxed setting, like your home, over a coffee, on the train or during lunch etc.  You meet up for a weekly session which lasts only half an hour, during the six weeks leading up to Easter.  A great chance to get together!

Small Surrenders - A Lenten Journey

Make a fresh start…..   Join Emilie Griffin in this book of daily meditations for the holy season of Lent.  Using ancien9781557255266.jpgt and modern texts as inspiration for her reflections, Emilie Griffin nurtures and guides us into a deeper knowledge of ourselves and God.  We discover that Lent is an opportunity to joyfully put ourselves in God’s hands.

Give Us This Day

Give us this Day offers Meditations for every day in Lent, inviting us to connect faith - “our daily bread” - and the world in which we live, along with receipes that range from Shrove Tuesday “No Fret Pancakes” to Easter Challah bread.  Each of the forty easy to make receipes, ideal for families with younger children, church school classes and pot lucks, begins with a scripture verse and a prayer.
